Hip Preservation Program
The goal of our hip preservation program is to provide a non surgical treatment option allowing the patient to save their own natural hip joint and protect it from future injury. The preservation program is often opted for when there is not significant degenerative change to the individual’s joint. If preservation is not possible, some hips may indeed require surgery. In the case that surgery is warranted, we also provide post surgical treatment and rehabilitation for these patients. Additionally, Mary Rutan Hospital Therapy & Sports Medicine specializes in the treatment of other hip pathologies, ranging from bursitis to post operative care for labral repairs/ FAI (hip preservation). This program is individualized to meet the needs of each patient, minimize pain and discomfort in the hip, and allow them to return to their prior level of function.
