McKenzie Callicoat, OTD, OTR/L
Special practice interests:
McKenzie received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University. She also received her Bachelors of Science from The Ohio State University. She completed her Level II Fieldwork at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital focusing on inpatient services of traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries, stroke, amputation and spinal cord injuries. Her second clinical was at OhioHealth Hilliard Health Center which focused upon outpatient upper extremity injuries. Her thesis was Incorporating Action Planning into a Rehabilitation Setting, and she completed her experiential component at the Champaign County YMCA, Urbana, Ohio.
McKenzie has volunteer and continues to be involved with myLIFEspeaks in Neply, Haiti. She also participated in ROC Wheels, which assists high school students in assembling wheelchairs for children in Mexico.
McKenzie is a native of Mechanicsburg and will be the primary occupational therapist at our new Urbana Center. She will also be providing outpatient and inpatient service in Bellefontaine.
