We're so proud of John Richards who recently graduated from feeding therapy with therapists Hannah, Anne and Ali at The Mary Rutan Hospital Physical Rehab Center!!
Here's John’s therapy story in his mother Kim's words: "When John first started therapy he would only eat a select type of foods. At the start, he was taught how to tolerate non-preferred foods even close to him. He learned how to describe what his body felt when these foods were near, and then once he could tolerate that, he could describe what the foods felt like.
He started to try new foods and learn the tools to trying them so he could see if he liked them. All the therapists were patient, kind, and worked with John where he was at with trying new things. I could not have asked for a better group of individuals to help kids learn to like other food. They are compassionate and kind, and you can tell they love doing what they do."
